The Optiven foundation has partaken in initiatives that advance education for needy students, preserve the environment, improve lives and livelihoods for senior citizens, provision of food in marginalized counties, and promote health based on their four major pillars.
Education being one of the four pillars, the Foundation sponsors secondary and special education for needy students from 47 counties in Kenya through their programme, Soaring Eagles Scholarship Program (SESP).
With the intent of addressing the aged in different counties, is the 2nd pillar, poverty alleviation. The initiative restores the dignity of the elderly citizens in the nation through provision of decent housing for their safety and security. They as well work closely with various women to generate long-term and sustainable programs that will lead to continuous flow of income.
Over and above, The foundation promotes health through initiatives such as Substance abuse campaigns, Medical Camps and Distributing sanitary pads to girls in school in order to promote health.
Optiven foundation recognizes the need for Environmental therefore they perform initiatives such as; Planting trees Clean-up of counties Advocacy on use of Green Energy Environmental protection.
